Experience
I have been a classroom aid in a middle school pre-algebra class room and a tenth grade English classroom. I have also tutored Rwandan refugees in ESL. I am a published co-author of a curriculum guide book in development for the country of Jordan's state schools, which will help integrate local antiquities into the teaching standards. In addition, I am heavily involved in the development of the curriculum used for elementary programs at the Calvin college Ecosystem Preserve, including correlating Michigan's standards for k-7 science education. My SAT composite was 2080, including writing; Scores were: Math:490 Critical Reading:800 Writing:790 I have taken education classes at Calvin College including courses in: Child Development, Learning Disabilities, Educational Psychology, Literacy Development, School Policy, Curriculum Development and Instruction Strategies. Finally, I have worked with adolescents as a mentor through my involvement in Young Life over the past three years.
